Neat dive bar up on the hillside outside Austin. Came in after day of fun around the corner at Luck Reunion 2019 at Willie's ranch. Many notable artists from the reunion were there hanging out sipping suds and cocktails too. Gotta love a Texas roadside joint.

What a great time like always at Poodies. The stuff was fast and professional like always, the crowd was so thrilled to be there listening to Carl Hutchinson and the band and the band played songs that made everyone have such a great time and it was so much fun for everyone. The food was outstanding, serving up some of the best burgers and shrimp baskets. Sharon Burke the owner does everything over the top compared to any place I have ever been to for a truly great time on a Saturday afternoon and early evening. On a scale of 1 to 10, honestly it was every bit of 12. Thank you all for making it another great time at Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood, Texas.

This place is always on my list of stops when I go to Paleface Park. Good drinks, cold beer. Good food. Great music. Laid back..

The old girl ain't what she used to be. But if you're a townie wanting that "authentic Hill country experience," go for it. Great bands pass through, but they kick all of the local patrons out and make them re-enter to buy wrist bands; it's disrespectful to the folks that keep it going during the daylight hours. I'm not there during the day, just saw it happen and it was a turn off to support that.

Poodies is a one of a kind place! Generations of local Texans frequently hang out and things can get a little crazy sometimes. You never know what might happen or who may show up to play live music! Poodies is known as Willy Nelson's old hang out. Always live country music in the evenings!
